How to get a laptop computer to display from a projector

• Turn on the projector first
• Plug the video cord into the back of the laptop computer
• Start the laptop computer
• If the image does not display on the projector, hold down the Function key (FN) and the video toggle key. 
  • Toshiba Computers: FN + F5
  • Dell Computers: FN + F8
• Pressing this key combination will cycle through the options available (display on computer only, display on projector only, display on both)  Note that it may take a few seconds between each option, so press the key combinations slowly
