How to restart a computer that is frozen

• Try to restart it first by pressing the Ctrl+Alt+Del keys, then select Shut Down from the dialog box that comes up
• If this fails you can shut down the computer you can shut it down by pressing and holding the power button until it shuts down.  Note that any data will be lost using this technique and if Windows was doing  an important process the operating system maybe become corrupted.  Do not use this technique unless there is no other option.
