Children's Biographies--Done Aug. 2008

Change the call numbers from "Child Lit B" to "Child Lit".

Interfile with "Child Lit" books, retaining "Biographies" sticker on the spine or cover.

Duplicate 260 fields

In looking at the raw data fot the migration to III, it was discovered that there are 457 extra 260 fields.  Identify and correct the records.

Curriculum

Re-classify curriculum materials using Dewey.

Call Number Clean-up

Incorrectly tagged call numbers are being identified and corrected in TLC in preparation for the final database load in III. If a call number has a Dewey classification, the class will be in 949$c and the Cutter will be in 949$d. All label stamps are to be removed from 949$c and 949$d (REF, AUDIO).

Records with no 300 field

A number of Donna Phillips Collection books were not fully cataloged. Many did not migrate to III in the test load.  The raw data count in III shows 81,770 300 fields for 83,965 bib records.

On-the-fly Records Completed 6/2008

TLC on-the-fly records did not migrate during the test load. Each record will be evaluated. Any that are in the permanent collection now will be fully cataloged.

Location Code Updates

The Braille Fiction and Non-Fiction collections will need a new location code assigned. This can be done with a global update.

The Children's Big Books need the new code applied.

Capstones: Move to circulating collection and classify in Dewey 378.242--Completed Fall 2008

In the Millennium bibliographic record:

1. delete 099 field

2. add an 092 field: 378.242 $bCutter number and title mark

In the Millennium item record:

1. Change "location" to bnfi

2. Change "item type" to 11 (books)

Create and print a new label. This might most easily be done in TLC.

Have all Reference stickers covered or removed before re-shelving.
